{Saving Our Movie History}
Each day the major movie studios need more room for new inventory and our movie history is simply being treated as junk and thrown out or discarded.
Growing up and carted around from location to location as a kid by my Grandfather, I wanted to do something to try and save these items. Except for items which the studios put on auction where they can fetch a high price due to the actress or actor that may have worn them or the particular movie that they were used in.

Here at Dazend Movie Props {pronounced "Days End"}, we try to save what we can by contacting these studios to let them know what we are trying to accomplish.

Most of the items that we receive are too badly damaged or moldy to try and save.
From these we take a sample of the material and take note of the color and style of the article for future reference.
Most of the early Motion Pictures were made in Black & White, so these samples are a great way to help in identification of an item.
Since our project started in 2003, we have been contacted by many hollywood stars wishing to donate items with the understanding that we will never list them on auction to sell for profit or gain.

However, we have a few items in our inventory that are available for purchase from different types of movies ranging from Western, Comedy, Action, War to Sci-Fi.
Let us know what you are looking for and we will let you know what is available.

All items that have been received are put on display Free Of Charge to the public so that they can get up close and see first hand, some of our Motion Picture History.

These items are put on display at various Gatherings, State & County Fairs, Western Events and Film Festivals through out The West.

Our efforts are supported by generous donations where we use the money gathered for traveling expenses and for future purchases, restoration and preservation of these items. We are also sponsored by Local State Film Commissions that hire us to come and display.

We have also displayed items at Movie Theaters, College and High School Drama Departments and other Events.

Although we have a few items from early SciFi and other Movie Productions, our Collection of Wardrobe & Props mainly consists of items from the early B-Westerns and the majority of Classic Westerns which were filmed near the towns of Kanab, Moab and Monument Valley Utah.

John Ford really liked filming in Southern Utah for the Red Cliffs and Beautiful Scenery that seemed to be everywhere.
John Wayne said that this land is "Where God Put The West".

Special Thanks to my brother Randall for all his help.

Thanks for checking us out.
